If you are thinking about buying a set of headrest monitors for your car, then you are probably wondering if you should do the install yourself or if you should get someone else to install it for you.
There is really no quick and easy answer to this and it all depends on how good you are with tools and your ability to read and follow instructions.
Headrest Video Monitor
When you buy a set of headrest monitors, which are already installed in a set of headrests, then everything you need to know is explained in the manual. The only thing you need to do, is to connect them to your cars power supply and you are ready to go.
That is the easiest way to install a set of monitors in your cars headrests.
The only thing you have to care about then is if the color match the interior of your car. Luckily, you can get headrests in almost every color, so that should not be a problem.
If you want to buy all the parts one by one and then install them in your current headrest, you should be pretty good at handling tools and you should be prepared to cut and slice in your current headrests.
If you choose this solution, remember that you cannot take the monitors out again. They will have to stay in the headrests forever and if you ever want a couple of headrests without the monitors in you will have to buy a new set.
The third option here is to get your local mechanic to do everything for you. This can quickly be a quite expensive solution and the only upside to this is that you get to choose the monitors yourself.
If you are looking for a mare advanced setup where you connect the headrests to the DVD player you in your dashboard, then you should definitely go and get the job done professionally.
